MSP Fitness is home to the MSP Fitness Weightlifting Club, a USAW registered team proudly serving athletes in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Whether you’re training for competition, new to the lifts, developing your athletic capacity for another sport, or simply want to improve your technique and enjoy the feeling of moving something heavy over-head, you’re in good hands at MSP Fitness.

What is Olympic Weightlifting?

Olympic weightlifting, more commonly referred to as Weightlifting, is a sport consisting of two movements – the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. It is one of the single best training protocols available for developing explosive power, flexibility, coordination and strength in athletics.
